Upon reaching Gagar, as you walk up the winding road in between trees and flowers, the last cottage before the forests start, you would find The Great Escape. From here you can have unobstructed views of the snow capped peaks of Panchachuli in the Kumaon region.
The Great Escape homestay with its understated simplicity is so infectious that it unclutters the mind and clarifies the senses so beautifully. You can take up a walking trail to the ancient Jhandhidar Devi Mandir which is located at the top of the mountain.
